The clipboard is great as you can copy multiple items outside of Excel, like from a Word document or a web page, and then paste them into Excel. Now you will quickly and easily be able to access the clipboard by using Ctrl + press C twice fast. Check off “Show Office Clipboard When Ctrl+C Pressed Twice”.Press the small icon in the lower right hand corner of the clipboard section to open the clipboard.To open the clipboard and enable the clipboard shortcut. There is also a handy keyboard shortcut (Ctrl + press C twice fast) to open the clipboard but it’s disabled by default. You can find Excel’s clipboard by going to the Home tab and clicking the small expand icon in the lower right hand corner of the Clipboard section. But what if you want to paste more than just your last copied item? The clipboard will allow you to do just this.

All the desired cells will be copied and if you clear the filter condition, you’ll see that the hidden rows haven’t been touched. You can filter on odd numbers, type 1 in the first cell of the destination column, type 9 in the next cell down, hit Enter and then CTRL + E to force Flashfill to take over. Flashfill will also help but it’s not relevant for Excel versions earlier than 2013 (or Office 365 ProPlus if you ‘re in the cloud). If you’re running Excel 2013 or above, you can utilise Flashfill. There have been many suggested workarounds but it comes down to using Paste into Excel Visible Fields or a Paste into Excel Visible fields only with code. It obviously thinks it’s being helpful but it’s really not. Excel will also paste the data into the hidden (filtered out) cells.
